Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) in action

This video was shooted by Gauthier Chapelle during the Polarstern / CAML Expedition ANTXXIII/8. It shows how scientists use Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to have a better understanding of the sea floor flora, fauna and conditions. The scoop in this video is the first close footage of deep sea clams associated to cold seeps. The swimming "shrimps" you see later in the movie are krill.
