Agassiz Trawl

In this video, you will see how an agassiz trawl was used by the Polarstern crew to collect organisms (mainly invertebrates) living on the sea floor. After being collected and extracted from sediments, benthic organisms are classified and sent to the lab for analysis. In this case, it was quite a muddy business, as you will see.
